Suzuki method is right for me?
I play flute for about 6 years (I started in grade 4) and unnecessary for to say, I can read treble clef and key bass sound much too slow. I started in school time high and no more beautiful people can play piano, even in my church many girls my age were playing hymns very well. I started picking up sheet music in my house and began to play slowly, still struggling with the bass clef. 3 of my brothers have received Suzuki piano method for a while, but my older brother left years ago. My brothers are younger still ongoing. My mother saw I had taken an interest in piano and signed by hand for lessons. I am about 1 / 4 of the way through the first book, but frustrated because you have to remember every song and I wanted to read. I try to keep my parents for the regular piano lessons, but they say nothing or Suzuki, and I want to play piano. Please only answer if you have experience with methods Suzuki.
I agree with Art Psycho. Suzuki method is for very young children who can not read music. So, they learn by imitation and memorization, until they are old enough to read music.
